ARTOPIA is an inter-college drawing competition created to celebrate creativity, expression, and artistic excellence among students. It brings together young artists from diverse institutions, providing them with a platform to showcase their imagination and unique perspectives. More than just a competition, ARTOPIA is a creative movement where art meets the ocean, inspiring participants to explore themes drawn from the sea, maritime culture, marine life, and the mysteries beneath the waves. Here, students illustrate stories that words cannot fully express.

The event also promotes collaboration and cultural exchange, as colleges come together to share ideas, styles, and artistic approaches. ARTOPIA transforms into a vibrant hub of colour, talent, and passion, creating an atmosphere that sparks inspiration and fuels artistic growth. Ultimately, ARTOPIA seeks to nurture creativity, spotlight emerging talent, and celebrate the artistic spirit within every student. It is not merely an event, but an experience that leaves a lasting impression on both participants and spectators.

RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. Eligibility: Participants must carry a valid college ID card. Multiple teams can participate from each college having 2 members in a team.

  2. Registration: Participants must register before the deadline set by the organising committee.

  3. The theme will be announced on the spot. Any artwork having derogatory terminology may be disqualified.

  4. Time Duration: Total time allotted: 120 minutes / 02 hours. Participants must stop drawing exactly when time is called. Late entries will not be accepted.

  5. The organising team will provide all necessary resources. No digital devices or digital art tools are allowed.

  6. During the competition, participants must maintain discipline and silence in the hall. Phones must be kept on silent mode.

  7. Artwork that is made during the given time only shall be allowed to be presented for judging.

  8. Judging Criteria:

    • Relevance to the theme

    • Composition & technique

    • Colour harmony

    • Overall impression and presentation

  9. The judges’ decision will be final and binding.

  10. Miscellaneous: Organisers reserve the right to photograph the event and use the artwork for promotional purposes.

  11. Any damage to college property will result in disqualification and compensation. The organising committee has the right to amend the rules if necessary
