Beyond the Frames is the ultimate short film showdown where imagination refuses to stay confined within borders. This isn’t just an event—it’s a cinematic revolution born on campus, where every second counts, every frame speaks, and every idea dares to push beyond limits.
Beyond the Frames celebrates fearless storytellers—the dreamers, directors, and visual rebels who find magic in the everyday. Whether it’s a 60-second reel or a 10-minute masterpiece, each story holds the power to move hearts, spark change, and inspire minds.
Rules & Regulations
General Guidelines

The event is open to college and university students only. Participants must carry a valid student ID.

The competition is team-based — each team can have a minimum of 3 members (excluding cast). Cast should be from the participant college.

All entries must be original works created specifically for this event. Plagiarism or copyright infringement (including visuals or scripts) will lead to disqualification.

Participants may submit only one short film entry.

The organizing committee reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entry that violates the event’s code of ethics or guidelines.

The short film must be completed in 24 hrs.
Short Film Specifications

Theme: Open / As announced by the fest committee (customize as needed).

Duration: Minimum 2 minutes, maximum 5 minutes (including titles and credits).

Language: Any language is allowed, but English subtitles are mandatory if not in English.

Format: MP4, MOV files HD (1080p preferred).

Genre: Fiction, documentary, animation, or experimental — all are welcome.

The film must not contain explicit content, hate speech, or political propaganda.
Submission Guidelines

Films must be submitted via Google Drive / pen drive by the given deadline.

Late submissions will not be entertained.

The organizers are not responsible for technical issues or corrupted files at the time of submission.
Judging Criteria
Films will be evaluated based on:

Storytelling & Creativity – originality, narrative strength

Cinematography & Editing – visual and technical quality

Direction & Performance – overall execution and acting
-
Relevance to Theme – how well it fits Beyond the Frames
-
Emotional / Artistic Impact
Additional Rules

The decision of the judges and organizing committee will be final and binding.

Selected films may be showcased during the fest or on official platforms.

Teams must be present during the screening and results announcement.

By participating, entrants grant the organizers the right to screen and promote their films for non-commercial fest purposes.
